He points out that, as any doughty groundsman will tell you, the tendency for otherwise sensible people to lose any semblance of common sense on donning cricket gear remains undiminished.

He further observes that contemporary doughty groundsman have to endure the modern practice of players trailing large quantities of largely unnecessary equipment across the ground, and even the square, in trolley bags with narrow wheels.Iainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14370180395320761629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4594530012918925567.post-70713147129087563962015-08-09T08:21:20.364+01:002015-08-09T08:21:20.364+01:00Reminding me of the joke about the horse, the barm...Reminding me of the joke about the horse, the barman and the long face...............Silly Pointhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09513218113000230778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4594530012918925567.post-39502609440087903162015-08-08T21:59:14.372+01:002015-08-08T21:59:14.372+01:00Long Aussie faces may have equine overtones?Long Aussie faces may have equine overtones?fantasy bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13071236617768809320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4594530012918925567.post-70147569960317354132015-08-08T09:17:32.593+01:002015-08-08T09:17:32.593+01:00The facial expressions of Test cricketers also see...The facial expressions of Test cricketers also seem to exceed those of normal humans these days. From brief observations of the current Ashes series, the polite handshakes and satisfied grins of yesteryear have been replaced by high fives, hugs and extravagant gestures suggesting gladiatorial combat rather than a cricketing encounter. No horse could possibly compete with that.Silly Pointhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09513218113000230778noreply@blogger.com
